Prayers

Here are prayers that can bring you closer to God and the true joy that He has planned for your life.

This is the prayer against cancer that I learned from Joan Hunter. “Father, in the name of Jesus, I curse this cancer and I curse the spirit of death. I command it to be gone, in Jesus’ name. I curse all the prion cells in my body. I command all the lymph nodes to be completely free of cancer and I speak a healthy body, in Jesus’ name.

God loves you so much and desires to have relationship with you. Did you know you can have a personal relationship with Jesus?  He has a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11).  Are you ready to be loved, accepted, and forgiven?   Jesus is here for you.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV

“And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”   Acts 2:21 NKJV

Salvation Prayer – Pray this out loud:

Father God,

I need You and Jesus right now. I believe You love me, have a plan for my life and will forgive any sin or wrongs separating me from You. Lord, I’m sorry for all the sin.  I turn away from the sin and turn to You.  I believe you sent Your Son, Jesus to die for me as payment for my sin. I believe Jesus died, was resurrected to life again, and He is alive today in heaven with You, Father God.

Lord, I ask right now for Jesus to come into my heart, to be my personal Savior and Lord and take control of my life. God, please forgive me for all sin and wash me clean. I receive this forgiveness now. I commit my life to You. I will trust and follow You all the days of my life. I confess that Jesus is Lord. I ask this in His name. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Father God! Amen.

When you ask Jesus into your life to be your Lord and Savior, God’s Holy Spirit is immediately given to you, the new believer. Holy Spirit is a Person and is part of the Trinity (Father, Son and Spirit). He now lives or “dwells” in your heart. Your body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit. His work includes convicting you of sin and leading and guiding you in your daily life. (John 6:44; 14:17; Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19; 12:13 NKJV).

The Holy Spirit Baptism is another distinct ministry of Holy Spirit; a precious gift from the Father which empowers the believer to be a witness for Jesus (Acts 1:8 NKJV). It is Jesus Christ who baptizes you with this gift. (Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16, Luke 11:13, Acts 1:8 NKJV)

Heavenly Father,

I am now a born-again believer and child of Almighty God. I thank Jesus for saving me. I believe in Your Gift of the Holy Spirit that you pour out on your people. (Luke 11:13, Acts 2:17-18) I believe this is what Jesus told His disciples to wait for and they received on Pentecost. Lord, I desire to receive the gift of Your Holy Spirit now. Lord Jesus, baptize, fill, and empower me for service with Your Holy Spirit now. I receive the gift of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives it to me. (Acts 2:4) Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10 NKJV.

Marvelous things have just happened because of your prayer asking Jesus into your heart and life.  Jesus is now your personal Lord and Savior, forever.  He saved you from the penalty of your sin; He paid the penalty for you by His death on the cross, being buried and then resurrected to life again.  You now have a restored relationship with God.  Right now, God and angels in heaven are rejoicing because of your decision and prayer. You are now eternally, forever connected to Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. You now have life everlasting.  See Luke 15:10 and 1 John 5:13.

You may or may not have felt anything in your body or spirit as you prayed to receive Jesus. While some people experience a feeling of a weight being lifted off their shoulders, you don’t have to feel anything. However, in the spiritual realm significant changes have taken place.

  • God will never leave or forsake you now and He has sent His Son, Jesus, and Holy Spirit to live inside you.
  • God has sent Holy Spirit to lead and guide you, to teach you how to live this new life.
  • You have become a part of the family of God as His child.
  • You are accepted, loved by the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit — just the way you are — adopted as a full daughter or son into the family of God.
  • There is a book in heaven that has your name and life plan written in it.
  • Jesus is in heaven preparing a place for you.

5 Steps To Starting Your Life With Jesus

Holy Spirit is now working with you, yet you always have your own free will to make your life choices. As believers, we aim to live life led by Holy Spirit’s direction and not by our own desires and will. You will grow in your knowledge of God, the Father, Son Jesus and Holy Spirit. Reading the Bible will help you grow.  God desires for you to walk this life of faith with others, not by yourself. Getting to know Him better is easier with godly friends.

  1. Start praying and dialoging with God (Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit) every day and throughout the day.  Pray every day, talking with the Lord, as if He is with you, which of course, He is! Enjoy being in His presence.  Let Him love you.  Tell Him how much you love Him.  Be thankful.  Give Him praise.
  2. Get your hands on a Bible, it is your ‘manual’ for living a Godly life.  Ask someone for help choosing a translation; there are many. Popular translations include the NIV, the Amplified or the New King James.  Start reading in the book of John and then the Acts of the Apostles.   Read some  verses or chapters in the morning and evening.  Psalms are encouraging and full of praise! Proverbs are full of wisdom.
  3. Journal!  Keep a journal of prayers, thoughts and what you feel God is saying to you.  God is always positive (even in correction).  There is no condemnation for you who believe in Jesus; so expect to hear words that encourage you and build you up.
  4. Find others to share godly life with.  Read. Study. Pray. Share. Find a small group, home gathering, church, or bible study. Getting to know God (Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit) better is easier and more fun with godly friends and mentors.  Ask friends where they go and how they do this.
  5.  Tell someone – As believers in Jesus, we share with others what God has done and is doing in our lives.  In Romans 10:8-10, we see that if we believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord, then  we must say it out loud with our mouths, and then we are saved. Sharing the Good News of the salvation is a biblical principle and it’s what a follower of Jesus does.  We tell others what Jesus has done for us!  Read about the woman of Samaria who encountered Jesus and went to tell her  village people; many of them then met and believed in Jesus because she shared what Jesus did for her!  Read John 4:1-42.

The baptism of Holy Spirit first occurred on Pentecost while the disciples waited in the upper room in Jerusalem after Jesus ascended into heaven. A mighty rushing wind came into the upper room and there appeared tongues of fire. The disciples were filled with His Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:1-4) Christians celebrate this annually as the Day of Pentecost. Before He ascended to heaven, Jesus had told the disciples to go to the upper room and wait for this special gift of the Father. You will want to read about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, and 19).

Many believers receive the gift of tongues when they receive the baptism of Holy Spirit. So as a newly-filled believer, a great place to start is by practicing your new language. Just start with whatever sounds or syllables the Lord gives you. Just as you praise Him out loud, the spiritual language is practiced out loud. Ask and He will give you more words and develop your language as you practice and grow. This is a powerful gift. You are built up in your faith as you practice. The gift of tongues is one of several gifts from God. For more information on the Gifts of Spirit see 1 Corinthians Chapters 12, 13, and 14; and Jude 1:20 NKJV.

Some congregations or denominations believe that the experiences described in the book of Acts died out when the Apostles died; while other denominations (such as the Assemblies of God) believe that these experiences are for us today; and we should seek for and expect them in our lives.  Every believer has choices.

Our mandate is to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, so that the children can turn their hearts to the fathers. What better place to start than with delivering inner healing to individuals first? To lead them to Holy Father, to help them understand who He is, and who they are to Him?

There is a tendency to focus on what a man has done rather than what the Holy Spirit is doing. By focusing on the Holy Spirit, the work of Healing Rooms can go into every nation and every city in every nation.  Where the Holy Spirit is, His anointing is available to every believer.  God said if your vision is as big as the world, it wouldn’t have to be any bigger.
